Five Earpieces 23rd July - Pseudo Slang

Pseudo Slang - We'll Keep Looking

I listened to this for the first time this morning on the way to work, and - despite all evidence to the contrary - I try to keep sh!t-talking to a minimum, so I can't give you all that detailed commentary on We'll Keep Looking. Apart from to say that it's a bit of an unexpected gift out of nowhere and I'm really digging it. I'd never heard of Pseudo Slang before last week, came across a mention of their project on www.ughh.com and decided to hunt it out. Well-pleased I did.

True-school, lyrically nice, clever, conscious but not overly-conscious rhymes that I'd probably play at my family bash with my nieces running around my ankles. Super-nice, satisfying jazz-sampling production. Reflective, really stylish and cool music - you might convert some non-hip hop listeners with this.

Pseudo Slang hangs in the same musical neighbourhood as I.N.I (has a dope Grap Luva feature called Walkin actually - dope high tempo double-bass line - oh actually I'm listening to it right now, drops a nice sax riff over the top of the doub-bass here and there, SO nice!) and Sound Providers. If you like good music, you should search out We'll Keep Looking. You'll fkn love it.
